Citra builds an enviable reputation with yet another major award

Citra continues its recent run of success with another prestigious award. On the 27th of June 2023, Citra was announced as the winner of the Impact Award for Leading Technology at The Big 5 Construct Southern Africa Exhibition 2023 at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

The Impact Awards recognises sustainable development, transformation, and technological achievements in the Southern African construction industry and forms part of the annual Big 5 Construct Southern Africa exhibition. This year, the 2023 Impact Awards received over 100 entries across 10 categories. Finalists were announced on the 12th of May when it was revealed that Citra would face stiff competition in the category of Leading Technology from Hydraform and James Finnie Consulting  Architect, both of whom have done much to advance the industry.

The award for Leading Technology highlights Citra’s use and advancement of several cutting-edge technologies in the fields of innovative green housing, housing design, and construction technology. Since its launch in 2015, Citra has continuously pushed the boundaries of sustainability and innovation in construction and has cemented its position as an industry leader.

“We are delighted by the caliber of talent across the industry that submitted entries for this year’s awards. The shortlisting process was by no means an easy one, and the selected finalists have been chosen based on their unique contributions to the construction industry across Southern Africa,” – Tracy-Lee Behr, Portfolio Director of dmg events
